Howard Cleeter

Howard Denver Cleeter, 85, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015. He was born March 8, 1930 in Dillsboro, Indiana, son of the late Harry and Laura (Rullman) Cleeter.

Howard was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of the DAV; VFW Post #5312; American Legion post #292; Tin Can Sailors; and Volunteer Fireman for over 50 years. He also belonged to the Southeastern Indiana Korean War Veterans Association, Chapter 4, Aurora, Indiana, where is was a valued member of the color guard. He worked as an Electrician at Monsanto.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Debi (Randy) Eaglin of North Port, FL, Linda (Jeff) Behlmer of Greendale, IN; brother, Melvin "Doc" Cleeter of Dillsboro, IN; 2 sisters, Ardele Laverne of Dillsboro, IN, Verna Heitmeyer of Dillsboro, IN; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Laura Cleeter; wife, Harriet Cleeter; son, Dale Cleeter; and 2 brothers Francis and Estal.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 3pm to 6pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 6pm, with Tom Beatley officiating.
