Clarence Raymond Dickerson

Mr. Dickerson entered this life April 14, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Clarence E. Dickerson & Naomi Jasper Breckel, who preceded him in death. He passed from this life on Saturday, April 7, 2001, at 1:55am at his home in Vevay, after a brief illness with cancer.
Clarence was a carpenter and had worked for the former Idle Hour Coach Company in Vevay. He also worked in private construction for many years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and his many friends at the American Legion & VFW. He served in the United States Army, during the Korean War, rising to the rank of Private First Class. He was a member of the Dillsboro American Legion Post 292 and the Vevay American Legion Post 185 where he served as Sergeant at Arms, also he was a member of the Vevay Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5396, serving as trustee. He was raised in the Dillsboro Community and had resided in Switzerland County since 1961.
Clarence will be sadly missed by his loving daughters, Wilma Swago & her husband, Tim of Vevay; Nancy Riley and her husband: Karl of New Castle, Indiana and Tina Peelman & her husband: Terry of Vevay; his step father: Harold Breckel of Kingston, OK; his loving grandchildren: Erin Swango, Joshua Peelman, Kasey Riley, Elyssa Swango, Dustin Peelman, Ryan Peelman, Jeremy Riley, Peter Swango, Heather Peelman & Lacey Peelman; his brothers: Harry Dickerson of Aurora; Jack Dickerson & his wife Bea of Lawrenceburg; Estal Dickerson & his wife: Wilma of Lawrenceburg; Jim Dickerson & wife: Betty of Lawrenceburg; and Jerry Dickerson & his wife Rose of Rising Sun; several nieces and nephews.
