Charles W. Huber, age 88, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at his home. Charles was born on November 4, 1927 to Wesley and Clara (Boyd) Huber in Dillsboro, Indiana. Charles served his country in the Army and the Air Force during WWII and the Korean conflict. He married Virginia Stegemiller on December 7, 1954 and they were blessed with two sons and two daughters. Charles was a carpenter and helped many people improve their homes. He made many beautiful pieces of furniture for his home. He was a member of Dillsboro United Methodist Church and enjoyed serving the Lord. He enjoyed his family, grandchildren, and his dogs. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, one son Jeffrey Huber and a sister, Betty Schmidt. He is survived by his wife, Virginia, one son, Mark Huber of Aurora, two daughters, Terra (husband David) Jones of Milan, and Kelly (husband Dan) Williams of Dillsboro, 6 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and one sister, Garnette (husband Doc) Cleeter of Dillsboro, and 3 grand dogs. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the DeVries Funeral Home.
