Samuel Glenn Eggleston
11/4/1954 - 7/31/2014

Samuel Glenn Eggleston, 59, of Versailles passed away suddenly July 31, 2014 at Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison, Indiana. He was born November 4, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Harold and Elwanda Hollingsworth Eggleston.

He graduated from Wm. Henry Harrison High School in 1972. He was a US Navy veteran serving on the USS Enterprise and had worked at US Shoe. He was baptized at Dillsboro Church of Christ. On April 9, 1988 he was united in marriage with Connie Wallace and their life was spent in the Versailles community.

Surviving is his wife Connie Eggleston. Two sons Matthew Eggleston of Versailles and Morgan Eggleston of the US Marines stationed at Kings Bay, Georgia. One brother Harold Eggleston of Harrison, Ohio and one sister, Karen Miller also of Harrison.

Funeral services Tuesday August 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Humphrey-Taylor-Detmer Funeral Home, Rising Sun, with Bro. Earl Thomas officiating. Visitation Tuesday 12:30 to 2:00 PM time of service.

Burial will be at Rising Sun Cemetery with military honors by Rising Sun American Legion Post 59.
